Our mission at Musiqology.com is to make musicology—the scientific study of music—attractive, fun and accessible to audiences around the world.  We share commentary, criticism, new and historic recordings, concert reviews and up-to-date news about a wide variety of musical styles and personalities.  We try to make clear how historical issues are always informing contemporary forms of music and that understanding music’s impact leads us into other art forms. A big plus for me is that I get to share here my thoughts as I workshop ideas about some of my current projects that include books, articles, film, recordings, and radio.  In short, Musiqology.com is your first stop for music news and criticism.
