With mixed feelings—sadness and joyous anticipation—we announce that Musiqology.com’s Managing Editor, Dr. Fredara Hadley will be leaving this position to join our Board of Advisors in 2016. Over the last three-plus years, Fredara has expanded the vision and scope of the site, doubled our number of subscribers, and grown our readership into the tens of thousands. At every turn she’s demonstrated her singular and uncanny balance of ambition, musical expertise, historical knowledge, avant-garde philosophies, strong political sense and southern “soul-geist.” She hails from Florida—my mother’s ancestral grounds. When you put all this into the mix, it’s no wonder that Musiqology has grown under her diligence and care.
Team Musiqology salutes Dr. Hadley as she focuses her numerous gifts on building on her own creative projects such as Jooksi, her teaching duties at Oberlin College, and her astonishing list of curatorial and entrepreneurial projects. We know that whatever she turns to, Fredara’s in it to win it. How do we know? Because she made Musiqology.com a winner and will continue to push us in her new role on the advisory board. Whatever she’s up to, know that you’ll hear about it first at Musiqology.com.
Thank you, Doc!
