Wow this is the best lecture/event I’ve ever had so far this semester. I really admire Mrs. Jones for her strong characters and artistic talent, but more importantly, learning about the Jazz culture through her lenses really makes me appreciate the generational gap (or maybe gaps). Although we all love Jazz, things that are different from the 1940s, 1970s, or 1980s really give us unique perspective on things. I just felt like I was taking in all this wisdom from a grandmother.
The highlight of the event is the poetry, Jazz performance. Musiqology! The band and Mrs. Jones seemed to had a lot of fun playing and performing. It was such a vibrant scene, burst with energy and creativity. I was surprised by how serious the band members were when they played. Great job!
