I certainly agree. Michael Jackson, as the musician, is much more than an icon, so to speak. All the publicity and gossip seemed to overshadow the appreciation of the quality of his music. When we get a hold to the latest gossip, we tend to jump on the bandwagon, taking our focus away from the appreciation of his music. A lot of celebrities possess "hidden demons" of some sort, or "skeletons in the closet," ranging from infidelity to double lifestyles, the part no one sees. Heck, nobody's perfect! MJ is flesh and blood, like all of us. Despite all the negative publicity, the brotha's got talent. He was a hardworking musician, and most definitely a tough act to follow. We never miss the water until the well runs dry. We lost a legend much too soon. A lot of questions remained unanswered, but that's not important to me. Whatever publicists say of his alleged lifestyle has no effect on my appreciation for his music. The signature dance moves, the voice, everything about his music was tight, on point. What sets him apart from most is the level of excellence and perfection in his music. To witness the evolution of his music from Motown to present is awesome! I can't pass judgment on him - I never walked in his shoes - and I don't wish to, either. I'm sure he's been through more emotional turmoil than most people can handle. The real picture is his music, his voice, the choreography, the creativity! You can feel the emotion in his performances. Despite the ongoing controversies in his life, he always manages to deliver in a very big way!!! You gotta love him!!!
